Vera was named after the Castle Inveraray in Western Scotland, home of the Campbell Clan.  A Castle rich in history and legends comes to us as fiery as her Scottish heritage this breathtaking  lass. With a stunning headpiece and beautiful structure Vera is a welcome addition to Celeticmoon Collies courtesy of Keri and Bruce Campbell. Vera will be making her show debut in early 2011 in both Canada and the USA and will be joining the Celticmoon clan in various performance sports and will be a great asset to our breeding program. With a pedigree that boasts some of the most beautiful dogs and bitches from Tallywood,  Gambit  and Tartanside, we look forwrd  to watching her grow up.

March of 2011 Vera had her show debut in both Canada and the USA! Vera is now pointed at just 6 months of age with a 4 point specialty major at the Collie Club Of Washington & Overlake specialties. Vera is currenttly on 7 points in the USA.  After Vera came home from the shows we went out to play with the sheep. She is a natural little worker bee! Vera passed her Herding Instinct Test with ease under judge Shelly Fritzke. We are also starting agility in March as she was apparently a jack rabbit in her former life! We really love the naughty ones! Vera will be at the shows south of the border looking for that other major and will be looking for agility titles in the summer of 2012. After waiting for what seemed like forever for her to coat up, Vera finished up her Canadian Championship in just a couple of days in the spring of 2012. Vera has turned out stunning with beautiful head detail.  We have an exciting breeding for Vera in November 2012 to Am/Can Ch Colbrae’s El Conquistador (Diego). This will be a smooth/rough breeding in blues and tri’s and will be bred by Keri Campbell (Aychess Collies) and co-bred by Celticmoon. We are currently in the process of health clearances on Vera as she has just turned 2 years of age.  We will also be doing a variety of DNA tests this winter.  Health testing here at Celticmoon is  very important to insure the health of future generations to come.
